Kyle "Kiko" Slagell (he/him) is a Chicago-based improviser, artistic director, and coach.  He has been the proud Artistic Director of Las Tinas since their conception in 2017, coaching their rehearsals and performances as they cultivated their own original improvisational form. As a Corporate Trainer, Kyle instructs, designs and implements training programs, combining his passion for comedy and teaching in the professional corporate setting. He has performed comedy at venues throughout Chicago and the midwest, including The Second City TC, iO Theater Chicago, The Athenaeum Theater, and The Comedy Clubhouse where he served as the Associate Artistic Director, the Assistant Director for their Mainstage Improv Ensemble, improv coach for several house teams, starred in their PerformInk’s Critic’s Pick Main Stage theatrical Wishin’ Control, and performed on the mainstage two-person team Tricky Mickey. He’s performed at the Chicago Improv Festival (CIF), Grand Rapids Improv Festival (GRIF), and the Kansas City Improv Festival. He is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory Program, and formally trained in acting at Acting Studio Chicago and Vagabond School of the Arts.
